Anyinginyi Arts and Crafts is a unit of Anyinginyi
Congress Aboriginal Corporation. Anyinginyi Congress
is an Aboriginal Medical Service that provides primary
health care to people of the Barkly region. The aim
of Anyinginyi Congress is to provide a holistic approach
to Aboriginal health. So not only do we provide medical
services but also through Anyinginyi Arts and Crafts
we attempt to address cultural and spiritual health
issues of Aboriginal people of the Barkly region.
Exhibitions of local arts and crafts are regularly
held at the Anyinginyi Arts and Crafts gallery. The
exhibitions we hold in our gallery range from traditional
Aboriginal art and crafts of he Barkly region to emerging
artists that produce artwork in a contemporary style.
There is also the opportunity for tourists to watch
Aboriginal artists and crafts persons making works of
art at the Anyinginyi Arts and Crafts workshop.
